Nigerian fast-rising producer Ronehi links up with Nigeria’s rap princess, SGaWD, for ‘Telfar’, his first release since the lamenting alté jam ‘Saudade’ with AYLØ, and her first since last year’s project Savage Bitch Juice.

The percussion is reminiscent of UK Garage with a synthetic bass that adds to the upbeat energy of the track. SGaWD’s lyrics amplify the track's sense of fun as she lets us know exactly where she puts the cash she gets from her admirers.

Her undaunted confidence jumps out in the instances when she asks “who kill the rhythm like me?”, a reminder that she’s a leader amongst emerging female rappers out of Nigeria. 'Telfar’ makes you wish you were hearing it at a summer rave in one of your favorite cities - it’s nostalgic, it’s fun and it leaves us anticipating what’s next.
A revivalist anthem for summer in the northern hemisphere, it comes at an apt time with Ronehi based in London for the next few months.
